Advantages of Applying Car Wrap Film:
- Vinyl car wraps wear as well as, or better than paint – when properly cared for. Think of it like a skin for your laptop or a silicon cover for your phone. The vinyl can take a beating protecting the vehicle’s paint underneath.
- Matte-paint jobs can be brittle and chip easily, while vinyl is more durable and harder to scratch. In the event that repairs are needed, the part that was damaged can be easily replaced, providing a perfect match.
- You don’t have to wrap your entire car; you can just do your hood, roof, mirrors, stripes, etc.
- Adds to the resell value of your car. When you remove it, your paint is in the same condition as on the day it was wrapped. Thus adding to the resale value by having flawless paint on your car. A repainted car normally decreases the value of your vehicle due to concerns over possible previous accident(s).
- Vinyl car wraps protect your OEM paint and are 100% removable.
- Vinyl car wraps come in many colors and can have matte, semi-gloss, gloss, brushed steel, carbon fiber, matte metallic, chrome, and even leather-like finishes.
- It’s difficult to tell it’s not painted.
- Warranties and/or lease agreements remain valid. Painting can void warranties and is not a lease option.
- You can restore the car to its original color by removing the wrap.
FAQs:
1 . How long does vinyl wrap last?
Depending on the quality of the wrap, type of vinyl wrap, care taken during installing, care for installation, and environmental factors, car wraps can last from three to ten years.
2 . Can I put my wrapped car through a car wash?
Hand washing is best for vinyl wraps, but brushless or touchless car washes can be just as safe. You can even use a pressure washer if you’re gentle.
3 . Will car wrap damage my car’s paint?
Actually, car wrap can protect your paint because it blocks damaging ultraviolet light. When you remove it, the original finish will be intact.
4 . How to remove vinyl from your car?
A . Use your fingernail or plastic scraper to pull the wrap from the edges of the entire panel. It’s going to look gnarly, but it’ll all be gone in a few minutes.
B . Finally, use Turtle Wax Label & Sticker Remover or Bug & Tar Remover to remove any adhesive residue from the surface of the panel.
C . Pull the wrap away from the edges at a steep angle, pulling the wrap back on itself at 15 to 20 degrees. When the wrap gets hard to pull, reheat and start pulling again.
